Decision making in business is like playing a competitive sport. Someone like the organisers need to make decisions about the structure of the sport i.e. where and when the sport will be played. Coaches will need to make decisions about the strategic way in which the sport will be played. i.e. how the team will play the game. On field captains and leaders will need to make the tactical decisions about each play i.e. who will carry out the coach’s strategic goals. The same happens in business where decisions need to be made about the structure of the business, the strategies the business will follow and the tactic used to achieve the strategic objectives.
